This has been an odd/ good couple of weeks with this pregnancy. For one thing, my morning sickness is so much better! Sadly, I've been suffering with a head cold for the last couple days, with a nice little sinus headache thrown in for fun. I pretty much slept all day yesterday, which felt very wasteful but necessary. Poor Jer was also sick yesterday, but seems to be all better today. Boys are so much more pathetic when they are sick, and they need so much more attention! Every time I saw Jer yesterday, he was sleeping in a new spot, including the couch and the floor of our living room because our bedroom was too hot for him in this heat wave. Of course I got cute photos, and I am almost mean enough to post them here, but not quite. ;)
So, with the morning sickness at bay (most of the time) I have been able to eat more and finally getting some of those pregnancy cravings I've heard so much about. This weekend, all I could think about was a turkey burger from Johnny Rockets. Sadly, Johnny Rockets was CLOSED when we finally made it over there, but luckily I got a fairly good substitute at Red Robin. Let me tell you, I NEVER crave fast food type food or fried stuff, but I would have killed for some more fried zucchini sticks! Hopefully I won't be a junk food junkie for the rest of my pregnancy, but I guess we'll see. It's really weird how off my taste-buds are. Stuff I usually love tastes awful, and stuff I never crave seems like the only thing worth eating.
Ugh, and then this head cold. Like I needed to be even more exhausted then I already was! Still, I am telling myself that maybe my body is trying to tell me I need to slow down a bit and get some rest. But it's hard when there is so much I need to do! I'm not feeling too stressed however, and I keep telling myself my most important job right now is taking care of this kiddo.
So that's it. I'm getting more and more excited the more my belly expands! I'm very curious to see how my belly button will look if it starts to stick out since I already have a funny belly button after my last surgery.
Oh yeah! I'm also pretty sure I felt my first little baby flutter the other day! I can't wait to feel some good strong kicks in a few weeks. :)
I'm going to try to check in here at least once a week, but it's cool if no one really wants to read all of this. I'm just feeling great about being pregnant and excited about all of the new stages, even the kind of crappy ones. Growing a new person is awesome! I'm getting so attached to the little critter already! I can't wait to meet baby Osborn this Christmas. :)
Feel better :)
